Mara is a harpy-esque mutant, almost completely covered in blue-black and pale grey-cream plumage, save for her face, mid-arms and mid-calves. She possesses feather-ears at the top of her head and massive wings at her back.
Personality
Mara is well-spoken, primarily calm, and a hell of a presence to behold. Her mere existence is intimidating, given her tall and muscled figure, extreme appearance, and generally aloof demeanor. She is a cautious one and does not form attachments easily. Though, when one is granted such a closeness to her, Mara's kind and empathetic nature truly shines through. She does not bestow trust easily and it can be ripped away in a manner of seconds should one elect to cross her. A pragmatic creature, she often acts upon facts and logic rather than her own feelings on matters. In more tense contexts, her instincts can take over and she will act upon her emotions. She has a strong sense of justice and honor to her, for better or for worse, mostly abiding by "do no harm but take no shit." Disrespect and harassment do not fly with her and she will be certain to let this be known, verbally or otherwise. Despite her imposing nature and appearance, Mara has a sense of humor to her. When applicable, she is known to throw a few witty retorts or teases. At times, she can forget words for things, mostly technology, or even stumble over her words. When tensions are high, she can react violently as her more primal instincts feel the need to self-preserve. She takes no joy in taking lives, even if they mean her great harm, but her primitive side is very hard to reason with. Mara is insanely protective over those she loves and will not hesitate to defend them at any time by any means necessary, even to her own detriment. Towards those younger than her, especially children, she will often take them under her wing, figuratively and literally.
